Q: How long have you been overweight?

A: I have been overweight since I was a child.

Q: How did you feel carrying around so much weight?

A: I stood out amongst a crowd, I didn't fit in. I was slow and lethargic, I really didn't have much energy.

Q: What was the maximum amount of exercise you could perform at 145kg?

A: I couldn't walk for more than 5-10 minutes without needing a rest. I could not play sport with my friends, I had to watch. In cricket all I could do was umpire, now I'm a player.

Q: Did you think that you would ever lose the weight?

A: I never thought I would lose the weight because in the past I could never stick to a diet, as I liked to eat too much.

Q: How long has it taken you to lose the weight?

A: I lost all my weight with Michael Kull in under a year. Now I'm at my goal weight of 90 kg.

Q: Were you on a calorie restricted diet and what do you think of Michael Kull's healthy eating plan?

A: I found that calorie restricted diets left me hungry, so I would always look for something to eat. Michael's healthy eating plan never left me hungry, in fact I increased the amount of food I ate, except these were healthy foods.

Q: What were the main constituents cut out in your eating plan?

A: I learned to eat healthy foods by cutting back my fat, salt and sugar intake while still maintaining a tasty diet.

Q: How would you describe your energy levels as opposed to other diets you have been on?

A: I wasn't tired and run down like on traditional calorie controlled diets because the Michael Kull healthy eating plan doesn't need to count calories, I have plenty of food all of the time.

Q: Was it easy to stick to the healthy eating plan?

A: It took some adjusting initially, however it soon became easy to stick to as it was so tasty and healthy.

Q: How do you feel now that you have lost 55 kg?

A: I have much more energy all of the time. I feel better when buying clothes and going out. I feel like I blend in rather than stick out.

Q: Was it easy to stick to the exercise plan?

A: Yes, I did as much exercise as I felt I could, until gradually I felt that I could do more. Michael was always there to motivate me.

Q: Did you find it difficult in a social atmosphere whilst being on a healthy eating plan?

A: It was very easy to integrate into my social life as my friends accepted my decision to lose the weight.

Q: What do you think of professional guidance and the benefits whilst losing weight?

A: Having a personal trainer is important for the individual support and motivation that enables the weight loss.

Q: What is your message to people with a weight problem?

A: Make a decision within yourself that you want to lose the weight. Stay committed and persistent as the benefits in the long term far outweigh the sacrifices in the short term. Know that you want to lose the weight and a professional can show you how to lose it and to keep you on the right track.
